Group A*: Pause, Spending Lent with the Psalms by Elizabeth F Caldwell
Paperback $11
The Thursday Lenten Group will meet at the home of Tim and Kelly Stern at 6:30 PM for soup, salad and bread, as well as fellowship and discussion of the above title.

Please contact Pastor Tim at admin@arkanddove.org or call the Church Office to register. We will be putting an order in for the books at 35% off next week. Click here for Information about the book

Group B*: Hard and Holy Work by Mary Alice Birdwhistell and Tyler D. Mayfield
Paperback $17
We'll be studying the book and enjoying a vegetarian meal. Families with children can bring their kids to hang out with the McCullough kids if they'd like!

Here's a description of the book:
This new release offers a unique Lenten journey through the Book of Exodus, encouraging us to see those who are marginalized or suffering as God sees them and practice endurance for the messy middle of justice work.

Please contact Pastor Jenn at jenn.mccullough@arkanddove.org by February 9th if you’d like the church to purchase you a copy.

Group C: Free discussion guide Have a Beautiful Terrible Lent by Kate Bowler, which is based on her new book Have a Beautiful, Terrible Day! Daily Meditations for the Ups, Downs, and In-Betweens. Acquiring the book is not mandatory for this study. Participants may also sign up for daily email prompts during the 40 days of Lent. Emails begin 2/14 (Ash Wednesday.)
A copy of the free discussion guide will be emailed at sign up, or you may download the guide and sign up for the daily email prompts here: https://katebowler.com/seasonal_devotional/have-a-beautiful-terrible-lent/.

This is a study offered by Kate Bowler and her team at Everything Happens and is an honest and real reflection on what it means to follow Jesus through the ups and downs of our days. It also allows for discussion about life as it really is—not just the Instagram-worthy parts but the difficult and the painful too. I hope you will join us.

Any questions, contact Kim Champagne at kim.champagne@arkanddove.org or Amy Tardiff at amy.tardiff@arkanddove.org.
